vegetables in a cloud

if you get board of your typical steamed or baked vegetables, try this recipe! my mom made it for us growing up and tonight i gave it a try. i have to warn you, even though you're eating your veggies, this is not the healthiest way. 
but, that's why it taste so good.

Vegetables in a cloud
2 T butter
1/2 cup onions, chopped
3 cups broccoli, bite size pieces
3 cups cauliflower. in bite size pieces
4 carrots, peeled and cut in thin strips
1 5 ounce can sliced water chestnuts
1/2 cup water
seasoned salt
1 cup extra heavy whipping cream
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
Saute onions and water chestnuts in butter in frying pan until tender. Add all vegetables and water and cover tightly. Let vegetables steam until crisp tender. Drain well. Put vegetable mixture in greaased casserole dish. Sprinkle with seasoned salt and mix well. In mixing bowl whip cream until peaks form. Fold in mayonnaise and cheese. Spread cream mixture over vegetables and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until golden brown. Serves 8-10.
