i went to utah this last weekend to run a half marathon. i don't know what my time was.. and it hasn't been posted online yet.. but i felt good running.
it was all downhill at a gradual decline which was nice for my first run. but, i definitely felt it after! it wasn't until about mile 10 where my legs started tightening up. i told myself i'd walk a little once i hit mile 11. i must have missed it because the next post i saw was mile 12. then, i got a burst of energy for the finish! once i crossed the finish line all i could think about was how i couldn't turn around and run back to the start... i have lots of respect for you people who run full marathons. it's definitely on my list of things to do, but it will take a lot more training.
we went and ate all you can eat sushi right after which wasn't the smartest idea. although, it was delicious, i started to hurt inside and out.
the marathon started at sundance resort and ended at the river woods. i can't believe i lived in utah my whole life and never spent time on the provo canyon trail.
it was beautiful!
